Employment Assistance
Ontario Works can assist you prepare for and find a job. A Caseworker and/or Employment Worker will work with you to determine what you need to become employed and help you develop a plan or Participation Agreement based on your skills, experience and circumstances. Financial supports are also available to purchase that you may need to start a job such as work boots, uniforms, safety equipment.
An example of the types of services available to help you find a job are:
- Workshops on looking for work, resume writing, and preparing for an interview
- Information on who is hiring
- Access to basic education or updating skills for a specific work force
